it takes no time at all to get into mexico from san diego. you basically drive right into tijuana, they don't even stop you. we had a nice, drive down the coast, stopping in rosarito to do some shopping (bought some amazing decorations for the baby's room)...then, back to the border. it took us 2 hours to get out of mexico. sitting in traffic, badly having to urinate, watching the peddlers sell churros, lucha masks, and bleeding wooden crosses. a lovely way to spend an evening.
